LEGG IRONS  Functionality and Comfort –– When you need it...

LEGG IRONS, the fully-retractable, out-of-sight riding pegs, will give your cruiser a clean smooth custom look, and riding comfort for the highway.

Legg Irons are spring-loaded with o-ring bushings –– they stay tightly retracted when not in use and they won't rattle or pop out while you're riding.  When you're ready to cruise with your feet forward, just pull out on each end of the Legg Irons, twist it about five degrees to lock them in and you're good to go.  They are easily retracted for parking or cruising around town, just pull them out about slightly, (about a 1/4 inch) twist slightly, and they self-retract into their "parked" position. (Note: Do not attempt to extend or retract foot pegs while driving, as this would most certainly create an unsafe condition.)

We like Legg Irons vs. large crash bars or other highway pegs because their retractability makes it much easier to park our cycles in the rows of bikes during all of the festivals, riding events, and rallies around Milwaukee-town.  They also make parking our cruisers in the garage a lot easier!

Legg Irons Installation

Installation is simple, taking less than 30 minutes for most applications.  Legg Irons are vertically adjustable to virtually any position on your bike's down-tubes.  Additional adjustments can be made by configuring the main brackets in a high or low position.

As shown in the photos below, the main-bar is about 1.25" forward of the downtubes. This distance is adjustable to accommodate taller riders or to position the main-bar forward of radiators or other obstructions.

To check for fit and clearance on your motorcycle, get a 29" piece of 1.25" - 1.5" diameter PVC pipe (or similar sized item).  Locate a suitable position for the "U" brackets, (1" wide (high), 1/8" thick), which can face in or out depending upon application.   Position PVC pipe at desired mounting location (use tie wraps or duct tape) and check for clearance.
